We are looking for a Cloud Automation Engineer

The Cloud Automation Engineer is responsible for building, testing and implementing enterprise-class solutions that enable organizations on their journey to the cloud; optimizing workflow and automation in the best way possible.

You have solid infrastructure and cloud experience and you are responsible for investigating and assessing on-premise and public-cloud based solutions and implementation advice to a variety of stakeholders within our customer base. You have a thorough understanding of complex IT systems and are up to date with the latest standards, systems, solutions and best practices.

You can discuss, assess and translate multi stakeholder requirements and capabilities into solution requirements and work with more experienced tech specialists as well as business stakeholders to understand customer expectations regarding their business processes.

You deliver subject matter knowledge and contribute in projects throughout all stages of the development, implementation and improvement stages of the solution lifecycle. You work with and communicate standards and best practices on the platforms, products and technologies we work with and asses the feasibility of customer requirements so to make informed recommendations and to find agreeable alternatives when necessary.

You pick up and manage client inquiries and resolve issues of greater complexity whilst implementing solutions to business needs, based on standard third-party vendor products that you evaluate in regard to technical requirements, functional capabilities to match business requirements, product maturity and integration complexity. These products might need tailoring which you advise on, and of which you evaluate the success of modifications, regularly monitor performance and ease of use so to ensure the optimal foundation for business critical processes.

Required Experience and Qualities

  • You are of course independent, but work well in teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills, the capability to understand complex technology solutions
  • Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • 3+ years of automation consultancy (e.g. shaping enterprise solutions in one or more industry sectors)
  • 3+ years of experience of work experience with cloud providers like Google Cloud, AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with design using commonly accepted methods and frameworks to create solutions that enable business objectives, all whilst maintaining balance between the various considerations enterprises have, or should have, is a plus
  • Understanding of CI/CD tools like e.g. Jenkins, ITSM tools like ServiceNow and Jira and how to leverage lowcode platforms like; Mendix and Outsystems
